Prognosis mapping follows KDIGO CKD risk categories by eGFR (G) and albuminuria (A) groups.

The colour gradient in "KDIGO Prognosis of Chronic Kidney Disease" is an adapted visual representation of the category-based CKD risk bands. The smooth transitions between categories are for representation only. The actual classification remains discrete: risk is determined by the patient's G category and A category, not by the intermediate gradient colour.
